Sustainable Value Partners is a management consulting firm helping companies create business value by embedding sustainability into strategy and operations. We are based in the US and Europe with a partnership in Brazil. The senior team consists of the following partners.
 
Chris Laszlo, Managing Partner – provides advisory services to senior leaders in some of the world’s largest companies on sustainability for competitive advantage. He is an Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management and has taught at INSEAD, CEDEP, Darden, Cornell, and many other leading business schools. For nearly ten years, he was an executive at Lafarge, a world leader in building materials, holding positions as general manager of a manufacturing subsidiary and vice president of business development. Prior to that he spent five years with Deloitte consulting.
He is the co-author of Embedded Sustainability: The Next Big Competitive Advantage (2011), Greenleaf Publishing and Stanford University Press, and Sustainable Value: How the World’s Leading Companies Are Doing Well by Doing Good (2008), Greenleaf Publishing and Stanford University Press, and The Sustainable Company (2003, paperback 2005), Island Press. 
 
 
Nadya Zhexembayeva, Associate Partner -- is the Coca-Cola Chair of Sustainable Development at IEDC-Bled School of Management, the European business school based in Slovenia, where she teaches leadership and sustainability strategy. Her work centers on organizational design for sustainable value and whole-system approaches to managing multi-stakeholder issues. She earned her doctorate from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, under David Cooperrider and Ron Fry, co-originators of Appreciative Inquiry.
She is the co-author of Embedded Sustainability: The Next Big Competitive Advantage (2011), Greenleaf Publishing and Stanford University Press. Nadya is also Vice-President of the global think tank, Challenge:Future and a member of the Advisory Board of the Fowler Center for Sustainable Value at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University.
 
Jean-François Laugel, Associate Partner – has twenty years of experience in strategy and finance. He began his career with the international strategy consulting practice of Deloitte Touche. He joined AXA in 1991 as Director in charge of Marketing and Business Strategy. He has also worked as a Senior Director of Oracle and was a Partner in the strategy consulting firm of Corporate Value Associates. He is the co-author with Chris Laszlo of Large Scale Organizational Change: An Executive’s Guide (Butterworth-Heinemann, 2000). He holds a MBA from the University of Chicago and a M.S. from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
 
Bruce Bendix, Associate Partner – has 25 years of strategy and management experience as a consultant and as an executive. He was one of two Senior Executives at Accenture to lead their growth and innovation strategy practice. Bruce has provided strategy consulting to over 30 clients in a variety of industries. This includes computers, software, newspapers, publishing, retail, telecommunications, banking, food distribution, printing, graphics equipment, aerospace, clean-tech, chemicals, waste management, and utilities. He has written several published articles and was a finalist for the Ken Ernst Award for outstanding thought leadership at Accenture. Bruce holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University
 
Marc Major, Associate Partner – as a sustainable strategy consultant, Marc offers visioning, strategic and operational support for companies wishing to transform to environmental and social sustainability. He presently works as a corporate strategist, business planner, and project manager for a global retailer, with a particular focus on material sourcing, international manufacturing, and product design/marketing. He has also designed and facilitated seminars, trainings and strategy meetings for corporate executives and MBA students. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Colorado.
 
Richard A. Liroff, Associate Partner – has more than 30 years’ experience as an environmental professional. He is President of Richard A. Liroff Associates LLC. He founded and has served as Executive Director of the Investor Environmental Health Network, a collaboration of investors focused on the risks and opportunities associated with environmental health issues in their portfolio companies. As an investor stakeholder, he has engaged senior management of scores of companies, including multi-line retailers, food processing, and electronics, on strategic issues and challenges associated with toxic chemicals in their products and supply chains. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northwestern University.
 
Tony Bond, Associate Partner – has over 20 years of successful leadership experience with a Fortune 100 company. During his career he led complex business units in sales, marketing, human resources, operations and finance. He has experience in leading large -scale change initiatives as well as designing and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies. Tony has experience working with organizations, both in the US and abroad, on creating more sustainable enterprises. Tony holds a Masters in Positive Organizational Development and Change from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, attended Syracuse University for a MBA and holds a Bachelors of Arts from Roanoke College. He is also a certified executive coach through the International Coach Federation.
